Firm Profile

Kanoy Architecture is located in West End, North Carolina.  Formed in 1977 by Jacob S. Kanoy, the firm consist of one registered architect, one architectural technician, and an business manager.  We are registered to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, New Hampshire, and Virginia.

Our clients' needs and resources are accurately assessed at the beginning of all projects.  The entire design process includes constant verification that stated needs are being met within available resources.  This results in quality facilities within budget.  Clients thoroughly appreciate this approach.

Projects are accomplished through an efficient system of communication.  A single person is always designated to coordinate each project, although the efforts of several people are being utilized through a teamwork approach.  This provides you with a single point of contact through which to interact, and allows us to provide prompt service in situations where time is of the essence.

We are fully equipped with the latest computer technology.  Virtually every task (correspondence, programming, cost estimating, specification writing, design and construction drawings, construction administration, and archiving)  is accomplished through the use of computers.  We have the ability to model designs in moving 3D images so clients can actually "walk" through their facilities as they are being designed.  We can also capture rendered images along the way.
