Jacob S. Kanoy, AIA, CSI, CDT
President & Principal Architect

Jake has been a Registered Architect since 1974.  A 1971 graduate of North Carolina State University’s School of Design, he has many years of experience in the planning and design of medical, educational, religious, military, municipal, governmental, commercial, industrial, residential and recreational architecture.  This experience includes four years with Duke University as planner and Senior Staff Architect, two years as a partner with Snowden, Stogner & Associates and nearly eleven years as half-owner of Stogner & Kanoy, P.A. in Rockingham, North Carolina.  Jake has been President of Kanoy Architecture, P.A. since it’s founding in 1997.  He is licensed as an architect, contractor, and real estate broker in North Carolina.  He also holds licenses to practice architecture in South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Maine.  Jake is NCARB Certified allowing him to quickly become licensed in additional jurisdictions should his clients’ projects require this. In 2004 Kanoy Architecture relocated to a new facility in West End between Pinehurst and Seven Lakes, North Carolina. 

Aaron D. Butler
Vice President & Architectural Technician

Since joining Kanoy Architecture in 2006, Aaron has become an indispensable member of the team.  As an Architectural Technician/Project Manager, he keeps projects on schedule and forms lasting professional relationships, quickly becoming the 'go-to guy' for many of our projects located at Camp Lejeune Marine Corp. Base.  A member of the North Carolina Army National Guard, Aaron as returned from his deployment in Iraq the first part of 2010!! He has recently taken the position and been named Vice President of Kanoy Architecture. 

Christine L. Cook
Business Manager

Hailing from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Chris is an integral part of the everyday operations at Kanoy Architecture.  An expert in multitasking, she will answer your call with a kind voice or greet you in person with a warm smile.  Chris is a little camera shy, and the only way she would permit her picture being posted on the web is if we took it from outside, so...
